Two years ago, it was held at RWS. I'm a newbie which called up for Gangnam Style performance.
Last year, it was held at Gardens By The Bay. I was absent due to eye infection. I remembered scrolling through my FB news feed seeing my colleagues all dress up for the event & I felt demoralized at home. The eye infection literally took a month plus to recover.
Ok, back to this year D&D.
Office was immersed in D&D mood. I brought my clothes & heels to office & hung on my cubicle.
6 of us in my team, went for hair styling during lunchtime at Next Salon @ Holland V.

To a certain extent, some colleagues engaged makeup artist to office for a makeover.
New colour done at Yishun home-based salon. Reasonable price at $65, considered my hair length & Shiseido brand was used.
Waiting at the salon
I googled few images of waterfall & french braids & showed it to the hairstylist. Waterfall braid was something I wanted initially but he said it would appeared flat on my head. I wanna achieved some volume on my hair, so I switched to a side-swept braid with curls.
Side profile.
Top part got a bit pong.
Moving on to my outfit, it's from MDS Collections.
Off-shoulder white top & black midi tulle skirt.
Couldn't find the right pair of hologram/silver heels, so make do with the black peep-toes.
My poor feet suffered from several blisters by wearing that heels bought in Bkk 2 years back.
I took off my heels & walked bare-footed to the ladies & hidden under the long table cloth when seated.
The card to redeem goodie bag, door gift & lucky draw dip.
Goodie bag was so lousy, a korea travel catalogue, Axe Oil & Ginseng drink.
Comparably, door gift was better off than the goodie bag.
Lucky draw first prize was $3050 cash but left empty-handed.
Mentioned on earlier note, the door gift for SIM 50th anniversary - it's a luggage.
There were 2 sizes, 20 & 24 inch & it's available in Black, White, Cyan, Yellow & Fushia.
Got my black 24 inch swapped to Fushia with a male colleague.
Sad to say that, let's be contented with freebies la.
The size is ideal for short trip but it doesn't seem durable.
Quality of the luggage is definitely not top-notched. Visible scratches & inner-linings smell like plastics.
Tables was chosen by SIM RC committee & it was located way back at the Exit.
The ballroom was huge enough to accommodate about 70 tables.
8-Course Chinese Set dinner was served individually to us.
Food tasted mediocre.
That's what I meant by something special for D&D.
Towards the end of the dinner, a whole cake & sparkling juice was served to all tables.
Nicely decorated dessert plate with silver choco balls.
Sing-along birthday song in celebration of SIM 50th.
This shot was captured while I stood on the chair bare-footed, with everyone held onto their toast & shouted 'Yum Seng'!
Yum Seng, cheers to a better 2015. Bonus gaogao, huat ah!
Sparkling juice in place of champagne.
A group photo with manager before we left for D&D, because he isn't attending.
Lots of people were taking photos before the door opened.
We get to see the rest being well-dressed & some dressed according to the theme.
Uncle Benny dressed like Taiwan Laoda.
Faith who dressed up as Mrs Flintstone.
Another highlight of this year D&D, it has a photo booth!
Oh, here's a group of colleague dressed up to the theme of Sci-Fi.
461st Cyborg Platoon, really go all out from makeup, dressing & acted like fiction characters.

People started to disperse after first prize was announced.
Taxi queue at the lobby was super crazy long.
Last pic posed with Ritz Carlton X'mas tree.
Enjoyed myself & had a fun night with colleagues.
Selfie before everything are washed off & back to original again.
Xx, Kelly.
