Staycation at Grandma's House

A month fleeted too fast & my staycation at Granny's house has come to an end.

I moved in around early Oct due to upgrading reno over my house. Supposedly, a 2 weeks stay & ended up stayed there for a month. Oversize luggage, limited amount of clothes & shoes, cosmetics & skincare was what I brought over.

My aunt, Helen took care of my meals. She prepared lunchbox for both Wen & I. Can't denied that culinary skills really runs in Sih's family blood. Most of my uncles & aunts really whipped up awesome dishes!

Kimchi Fried Rice

Dried Mee Hoon Kueh w Belachan

Hor Fan

Aglio Olio & Potato Platter

Curry Noodles

All-time favourite from all of Ah Ma grandchildren. Aunt Helen inherited well.

Hand-knead Mee Hoon Kueh

Wen, my childhood playmate. Both of us lived tgt in grandma's house till we entered to tertiary education. I thanked her for being such an ever-irritating-bugging kind of cousin which prevented me to behave like a autism/lonely kid. Of course, she doesn't changed a least bit despite a decade has past.

Because of her, I used to get scoldings from grandma of disturbing her. In fact, she's the one who annoyed me first. Grandma greatest 'weapon' was fake-rubbery insect such as cockroaches, spiders & centipedes to ward us off from arguments. That left us a phobia on those gross insects.

Amber, adopted dog by Wen. He's fond to 'go downstairs' & '丢垃圾'.
He's so much obedient & tamer now, doesn't bark or bite when people entered grandma's house.
Amber was given a surname, Leong which takes over my grandma.

Hi, Amber Leong

Amber loved to sleep in b/w Wen & me. This dog leads a really good life now after abandoned by cruel owner. Amber now sleep in air-con room & tucked under cozy blanket.

Amber is now well-taken care by Wen & the rest.

My beloved Ah Ma, who celebrated her 80th 大寿 this year.
Pioneer Generation here.

Back to those days, she was agile doing housework, cooking for special occasions. Now, looking frail but still bubbly. To be honest, it ain't easy to live with a dementia patient. When she would asked me the same questions repetitively. Family members required great amount of patience towards them.

This lady beside me is Aunt Helen aka 三姑姑. Amber Leong photobombed.

Another Y-Generation cousin, she's 10 years younger than me prease.

Papa got me a new set of house keys with fun colours. So, im back home now...
Before i left Ah Ma house, she told me to come by often & I promised her. :)
